Ben did R&D on fabricating a compositeorbiter. Unfortunately it did not have the right combinations of lowmass and stiffness, for a full-program R/C FAI shuttle model wherethe empty mass of the orbiter is very critical.
Some of the techniques may hold promise for afuture model. Specifically thewings.
